Courses for young learners in your country
English Camps 2011

An opportunity for your school to become an English school

Let us come to you! In addition to the opportunity to study English here in Norwich, we also offer courses for children aged between 7-14 in your own country. English Camps are managed and staffed entirely by our own English Experience staff and take place in your school or organisation.

Our courses are run entirely in English and focus on improving the children’s confidence and ability through both English language lessons and activities comprising art, drama and sport.  All of our experienced staff are focused on offering every opportunity for the children to practise and engage with the language they are learning in a fun and encouraging environment.

English lessons have an emphasis on building speaking and communication skills but are based on a blend of activities to develop all areas of language learning, including listening, reading and writing.  The courses utilise a range of materials and visual stimuli to encourage the students to use their imaginations and explore the language.

As well as English lessons, all the children have two activity periods a day, either art, sport or drama.  These are designed to be fun for the children and allow them to use their English and interact with our native-speaking activity leaders in a more informal setting.

Our courses are run to a consistently high standard using guidance and materials prepared by our staff in the UK.  Each individual English Camp is led by an experienced course coordinator who works closely with senior UK staff .

An English Camp normally runs from Monday to Friday, 09.00 to 16.30, but this can be tailored to suit the needs of specific schools.

  • Each day the children have two English lessons and two activity sessions.
  • Classes have a maximum of 15 students.
  • The children are fully supervised by English Camp staff at all times.
  • At the end of the two weeks, the camp finishes with a performance by students from each class for their parents and the presentation of a course report to each student.
