About us The English Experience offers British Council accredited evening classes to adults at all levels. Classes meet once or twice a week in small groups and are ideal for students who have day-time work commitments. The courses provide a solid foundation for those who need English for examinations, work, university study or life in the UK. Please come in to the school for a chat and assessment to ensure you enrol on the correct course. We are currently running the following exam courses:
Cambridge English: First (FCE) & IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - Wednesday evenings
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) - Wednesday evenings

Course times and dates All classes run from 17.45 to 21.00 (3 hours with a 15 minute break). New students are offered 1 free lesson of 3 hours to ensure they are placed in the correct level class.
Payment Classes cost £6.50 per hour (3 hours per evening)

Course materials The English Experience uses a variety of materials and students are provided with handouts free of charge. Course books and dictionaries have to be paid for by the student who will be given further information on enrolment.
Assessment Your progress will be assessed on an ongoing basis and at the end of your course you will be given a course report which will show you how well you have done in all your skills. Students are continually assessed by means of testing and assessment tasks. Support from the teaching team is given to those students preparing for the Cambridge ESOL exams.
Terms and conditions Fees are payable 4 weeks in advance and no refunds are given for lessons missed. Each student is allowed up to 4 days of Holiday per year. For further details regarding terms and conditions please ask to see the Student Contract.
